The Manifesto of Peace
• Let us begin peace where discord emerges
Discord always originates from within ourselves. The fear from pain, loss, weakness and from not being loved, together with a more or less deeply rooted fear of life, form the base for it. We begin, where everything begins and everything ends; in the awareness of people it begins where most of them end or where they never look closely. They say that thoughts are free, and many of them believe that the wars within themselves have nothing to do with the wars and conflicts of the outside world. That is not true. Also peace has to be rooted within each of us, in the deepest centre of his heart and his thoughts. Consequently, the actions of the individual will be based on peace, appreciation and sympathy, and peace on earth will no longer be utopical.
We don’t want to stand up for peace, neither politically nor in a religious way, but with everyday’s life we want to live peace and to bring the awareness of true humanity to the general public.
Humanity includes tolerance, sympathy, common sense, clearness, devotion and service to the neighbour.
• We don’t fight against war, but live for peace
There are two ways to answer violence on earth: either to fight against it (which, at the end, means again violence) or to support all possible peaceful activities, thoughts, projects and people. Peaceful people don’t make their way by means of violence, but my means of love and understanding for all parts.
• You are important
We need your support, not necessarily in the form of money, but in the form of presence. The more people celebrate peace and openly profess it at the same time, the easier a peaceful world will manifest itself. In order to let us know that we are not alone and you aren’t either, you can be registered in our record of peace. You can be registered at no cost, as we are not an association and don’t collect membership fees.
We will forward the petition with your signatures to governments in time.
• Why the world doesn’t necessarily need wars
... as there are enough resources for everybody
... as there are enough money and work for everybody
... as there is enough suffering, even without wars
... as we have fought them often enough
... as the result is always the same: there are only losers!
... as nobody really wants them
... as we are not forced to give power to the powerful of the world
... as positive changes can seldom be reached by means of violence
... as reasonable negotations can bring better results
... as the powerful of the world haven’t had anything to be afraid of for long
... as war only helps a few, but harms a lot
... as wars, at the end, are ineffective
... as the awareness of people is prepared for peace on earth
• Some ethymological definitions
Djihad (islam.) ... to strive for, to fight (the syllables means well-being, safety). Islam means to be in peace, Salam means peace.
Latin: Bellare means to make war, bella means nice
War today always means to want to have something, to get something
Evil means arrogant
Sin means separation, differentiation, splitting
Victim means to be working
Committer means the acting one
Suffer means to endure
• The other reasons for war and peace
The subject of war and peace has always been treated abundantly, in all newspapers, periodicals and media. Let us therefore look at it from another point of view:
It is not easy, but helpful, to neglect valuations and to look at the subject from different points of view. In order to approach the subject, we have to leave behind us the primitive ‚good‘ and ‚bad‘ valuation. We are astonished that people don’t realize that they are always victims, as long as they think in these obsolete patterns. Even the committers feel forced to resist, and as they react, they are victims, as committers act. Peace has often more to do with self-responsibility, openness and tolerance but with love.
God and love don’t seem suitable if you want to achieve peace. We know that this sounds a bit provocative, but let us have a closer look. All wars are made in the name of God, in the name of justice, in the name of truth and in the name of love. There are people who worship God so much that they don’t tolerate another God close to them. There are others who are so blind in their love to their native country, to their partner or to money or power that they are prepared to fight for it. It is hard to understand that priests bless tanks, that politicians claim to fight for their people and their rights ...
Thanks to God, there are esoterically-thinking people! Yes, you have already seen them, in light dresses, always smiling, trying to defy the darkness. They misunderstand the word ‚warriors of light‘ as all warriorsdo. They fight what seems ‚evil‘ and don’t understand that they get unloving themselves. There is one proverb saying, ‚Some people get completely unsupportable on their way to perfection.‘
They wrap in light in order to protect themselves from darkess, they get isolated and believe to be better people. They don’t realize that they commit a sin if they separate from their neighbour. And they always fight against sin. They haven’t realized that the aura can be damaged more easily from the inside than from the outside. They see the evil only with others, like a politician, a soldier or a fanatic does. Then they try to convert them to a better awareness or they avoid them. They feel better than others and try to show, as all the others, that they strive for ‚good‘ aims. On their way they can caught in inner and outer conflicts that are well-hidden. They hide their ‚little wars‘ by means of love, spirituality and faith. Nevertheless they keep on fighting. It is even worse that they fight against themselves, that they are dishonest against themselves and that they project all their own mistakes onto the others, their enemies.
There are always two sided, also for war and peace! The other side of peace is war, as well as the opposite of war is peace. We have to make one further step, in order to stop the game of war or peace. We have to realize that the strive for peace will create war. A real master doesn’t scream against war, but has realized peace within himself and lives in peace with war. Jesus Christ and the other really enlighted persons like Buddha, Mohamed a.s.o. have fought against pharisees and savants more often than against soldiers and toll collectors. They knew why. They knew that the warrior himself is not dangerous, but only the ideologies coming with him. Ideologies are always based on the so-called truth. A lack of love for the neighbour (which means intolerance) leads to attacks by dissenters who always exist and who see their own ideology endangered. The problem lies within the intolerance and the false belief that everybody has to believe in the same truth in order to let peace emerge.
Peace can’t emerge if everybody believes in the same, but if dissenters are accepted within their hearts in an open and tolerant way.
They strive more to understand the other than to be understood, to love the other than to be loved, to help the other to freedom than to be free, to make the other happy than to be happy themselves. A devoted person is happy if the others are happy, this is the key to wisdom.
As long as people don’t understand that justice and injustice, good and evil belong together, the human race can’t expect peace. If they don’t stop to commit sins by condemning others and thereby separates from the others, they can’t expect to reach ‚paradise‘. How do people come to such a provocative and dangerous point of view? Only if they have seen through themselves. If they have realized that they still make a lot of wars within themselves. There are battles, even if they aren’t fought by materialistic means. So there is war within themselves. This is true for all of us! For our quarrels with neighbours or partners, our rivalries with friends, our competition with authorities, or the quarrels with our children, in the supermarket, in ski-lifts, in the car, a.s.o.
Like all wars have begun very small, peace begins very small. Very, very small. In our opinion, it doesn’t bring peace if you fight against violence, but if you live your life peacefully.
Before this small inner peace hasn’t been achieved, big wars will happen! It is not a flood that makes a barrel overflow, but one single drop. If you want to make a difference, begin to think peacefully, feel peacefully, act peacefully and be peaceful. You will need more courage than if you make war. Become like peace! If you fight against the evil - even if you fight by esoteric, political or faithful means - you will feed it. As long as you condemn wars, they will exist; if you fight against violence, you will feel it; and if you believe to be right, you will meet injustice.
The old saying is still true:
If nobody went to war, there wouldn’t be any!
Are there any other reasons today to make war? Of course, the fear from the consequences. It is responsible for the fact that most soldiers prefer fighting to being without job or in prison. Wouldn’t it be good to find out where this fear comes from? It could be the fear from pain, from death. Where does it lead? Of course, it leads to people suffering and dying anyway. But nobody dies more that the one who dies from fear. All the glorious warriors and soldiers are dead when they go to war. They are only killed on the battlefield. This isn’t the worst. The worst is the mental death they have died.
What about you? Have you already died? Do you do or say things that you wouldn’t do or say if you were the richest man in the world? Be honest! Don’t you do a lot of things that you wouldn’t do under different circumstances? Find something! Then you have the possibility to work for you and your fears. Then you can experience your rebirth already on earth. Or do you want to continue trying to change the world and to find out at the end that all your efforts haven’t been fruitful at all? Do you want to continue to pray or to meditate for peace? Do you want to continue to pretend that hiding and meditating can create peace? If that worked, it would have already been done! But what has been really done?
Today more wars than ever before rave on earth. They are are made for reasons of money, power and faith. It may be nice to have money, but it can be fatal to want more and more of it. The same is valid for love, power and God. Those who have got it can share with others, those who haven’t got it will want it from others, and those who have got too much of it risk to be overfilled and poisoned. It is the same for spiritual things. Not the thing itself is dangerous, but the dose makes the differnece.
• A different point of view as regards violence
The weaker the man, the more brutal his weapons
Man naturally takes his arms if he feels weak and inferior. Strong men often show an impressive peacableness and gentleness. You as well are using your weapons only if you feel endangered, physically or psychically. There is nothing ‚evil‘ in it, it just shows that a man feels fear and anxiety. Therefore, the use of weapons just seems to be self-defence. Before a man takes his arms, the society has failed to see or simply neglected lots of signals of emergency. Those signals and signs are often seen too late, as the ability to feel has decreased during the last centuries. The same is true as regards man’s relation with nature. Man has always felt inferior to nature and therefore tried to master it. It would have been possible, but not in this way. And as he hasn’t been able to master nature, he began to destroy it. Then the same pattern was used for human relations. Most people are always in the state of war or at least of alarm. Under strained conditions a harmonic relation is not possible, neither to people nor to nature. I fear that the end will be inevitable if man continues like that: with death and decay.
Death and decay are in opposition to inspiration and transformation.
Transformation of violence happens through acceptation of violence, through acceptation, loving and understanding of the laws of creation, through practice of love of the enemy and through the realization that there are no opponents, but only partners.
Weapons are not only just pistols, bombs, knives and cannons. There are weapons that can injure much more, the psychological ones. You can injure or torture your opponent much harder and longer-lasting by psychological means. The weapon that is most used by man is psycho-terror.
Nearly the whole mankind lives in fear and with a feeling of weakness.
They look for anybody who is weaker, misuse their power and claim their own weakness as strength. As the neighbour is only vulnerable where he is weak, a battle of special brutality begins. Wounds and bruises are always hit again. The presumed conqueror are often astonished themselves how big the damage is that they have caused. Then they may be sorry, then the wounds begin to heal. Healing would not be necessary if wounds hadn’t been caused. But one thing is for sure: You always wound yourself, as you and your neighbour are one! Therefore, my dear, don’t raise your hand against your neighbour, it isn’t worth it! Don’t raise it either against the animals, it isn’t worth it! It would be really wiser to turn the other cheek, in order to stop violence. But - as I already said - this would need more courage than to fight.
An appeal to the good sense:
The good sense is the virtue to estimate the combination of mind and heart higher than the emotions.
• We are one family
The conscience of peace and family is a universal task
Charity means that you shall love your neighbour. As you can’t pretend love, most people restrict their charity to family members, their partner and their closest friends. For most people charity ends there. For me this kind of love is just an extended self-love. Usually it is not yet charity, as charity is unselfish. This step comes immediately after the natural love between a child and its parents. First of all, of course, comes a mother’s love.
It is neither difficult to love one’s own children nor one’s partner, friends or those that love you. This answer comes automatically and there is always selfishness in it. Of course, you should love them anyway, but don’t believe to be a great man or woman of charity just because you love five or ten persons.
To love your neighbour means to love the whole creation and all life within it. This comes automatically. The more you extend, the farther your vibrations go, the more you will love everything that you meet, visible and invisible, everything that is connected with you and your extended heart. If, at any time, you are not able to love somebody, just connect with him. This connection creates such a good understanding of the character of other parts of the creation, that love will automatically arise within you. It is an unconditional, close and binding love that arises. You don’t love for special reasons, but just for the reason of life. You will love everything and everybody just because they exist. Just their existence will be enough to feel enormous love. In my opinion, charity is a love for no reason at all.
All the other reasons for love or hate come from valuation. The normal, usual love is a valuating love.
Valuating love can permanently change, if the other person changes and then doesn’t meet your valuation any more. Love for no reason at all can’t change. Love free from valuation is so beautiful, because it is a calm and clear love, free from emotions and limits. It can always be exchanged from both sides and under all circumstances, because it happens on another level, from origin to origin.
Just imagine how it is to be loved unconditionally. Not to be loved because you do or are anything, but just because you exist. Nothing is expected from you and nothing that you do can be wrong. ... And imagine that you could love (not just accept) others as they are. Not because they are like you or different, but just because they exist. ... Of course, you would immediately live in a completely different world. You would find yourself on the highest level of human being, without doing anything else!
There is no offer that is more effective or easier. Nevertheless this huge love to everything that exists begins very simply, between you and your neighbour. You should not wait until your neighbour makes the beginning and you should not put any conditions for your reconciliation. Be peaceful in every situation, knowing that the other one doesn’t know what he does or what he has done. Solve all violations of your frontiers and all infringements as fast as possible, adjust to your new way and act accordingly. Either this adjustment leads into a common future, if you are corresponding to your partner’s way, or it doesn’t. You shouldn’t be afraid to go your new way alone, if necessary. You have nothing to lose, your love can continue on your side only. Love doesn’t need an answer if it is without any conditions. We don’t want to say that you should leave your partner after the first difficulties, but it doesn’t make sense either to remain in a partnership that is without any perspective. Only you can decide at which point it is. We often see that people don’t estimate their situations correctly, either too dramatically or too harmless. By their wrong estimation they try to avoid a change of their situation that will come sooner or later. More understanding would be helpful.
Only those who have the courage to understand their situation have a perspective in their life. At this point you will find out if your partnership remains alive or slowly begins to die. Dead partnerships end in anger or indifference. The ‚together‘ from before turns into an ‚against‘. This is also true for nations.
Those who are not able to love their enemies in the end, are not able to realize charity in its highest quality. Peace on earth will remain an utopy for a dreaming mankind. Let us wake up and make our inner peace to a universal peace for all people, races and religions.
Peace on earth can begin now. It is now that you can rebuild peace within yoursel. Don’t begin tomorrow, as it could already be too late.

How we work for peace
We are impressed by respect and estimation for all colours and religions. Officially we want to work for tolerant relations and we want to talk about the nonsense of future wars that are lost already.
We speak as the representatives of all people, especially of all those that declare their allegiance to this manifesto of peace.
We want to show a positive presence in TV interviews, in radio broadcasts, periodicals and newspapers as often as possible and we want to introduce a spiritual point of view. We don’t want to fight against anything or anybody, but be connected and work as a bridge in order to underline the importance of peace on earth.
Furthermore we plan different congregations and events for the subject peace. Officially we act as a community, together with many important personalities. We are sure to be able to move something, together with all of you, and to inspire people to realize peace within themselves. We want to explain normal spiritual points of view as understandably as possible in order to make people think about it.
• Our aims
Peace on earth and peace in all hearts
Our aim is to offer a possible basis that can lead to peace among people. A basis in the people’s way of thinking, in their points of view and estimations, in their position to those who think differenty.
This means that we want to promote the common sense in this direction, so that aggressions and violence become less and the reason is used to leave our children our earth and our universe in its most beautiful form.
A further aim is to collect as many addresses as possible of people who are interested in peace.
We want to interest prominent personalities from politics, economy, sports and culture for peace and for the co-operation with further national and international peace movements.
We want to be seen and to be taken serious as a union of people for people.

We publish the newspaper ‚The other reality‘, we have spiritual teachers like Bruno Purusha Würtenberger, as well as many writers, musicians and artists, spiritual healers, savants and especially thousands of people who form the core of the union, as they have proved by their signature.
We have our own homepage so that we can contact people more easily.

A possibility for people with influence in all fields to act in a friendly manner
We have a list of prominent people that are ready to show for peace. It is permanently adapted and published.
• Important to know
This manifesto shall and may be copied and distributed to as many people as possible. Further copies can be claimed from your national office at a cost of 2,- EUR (in stamps) or can be printed from the internet homepage of the national office.
You can organize events without our authorization. (We don’t want to control anything.) We just ask you to send us a short information about your personal spiritual events. They will then be presented in the newspaper ‚The other reality‘. Participate, be active and creative, we look forward to anything that promotes peace on earth.
• An appeal to all
We ask for your participation, for your spiritual and material support
We ask all those who have contacts to the press, to radio and television to support us by making contacts for us. We ask you to collect addresses (you can claim lists from your national offices), to translate this manifesto into different languages, to make publicity and to help in the organization of events. Whatever you can do (to write, to translate speeches simultaneously, to make sound-recordings, to make photos of meetings, to collect e-mail-addresses, to let us use your network, your clubs, a.s.o.), please let us have your proposals and let us make us of your talents and ideas in order to re-establish peace on earth.
